New Shoes

My sulky 13 year old wanted no part of me documenting his first day at his new school today.

In preparation for the first day at the new school, I ordered Stone a pair of shoes from RunningWarehouse.com I knew they wouldn't be here in time for the first day, but it would be close.

The shoes arrived this afternoon. I asked Stone to try them on and we realized we had a problem. They were too small. I'm glad that RunningWarehouse.com has an excellent and easy return policy.

Now the debate is, do I order a half size up, or shop locally?




Do you know how bad I feel returning a shoe that says "Thanks for Picking Me!"?

  1. I feel bad! I love running shoes and I never want to let them go. i will try them on 5 more times to make sure they don't in fact fit!

  3. Tough one, I hate returning shoes to. BUT, he is 13 and if anything like my 13 yr old right now, he is at that growing stage and will go through a few sizes this year. I guess the question is how fast does he need them?

    I noticed the 'Thanks for picking me' thing to... :0)

  4. Shop locally to make sure. I have one pair for running shoes that are that half size too small, and I end up with blue toe nails after runs in them....

  6. Shop local. My kid does NOT understand shopping by mail, and even more doesn't get why he has to wait for them to come. He's 12. Where in the world is it that school is starting TODAY?
